Activities at Tyspane Care Home
Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.
Jacqui Conroy
Jacqui and her team devise and plan fun group activities and events for all our residents, including pamper days, gentle exercise classes and music therapies. Regular one to one sessions and smaller groups are tailored to residents specific needs and hobbies with gardening and crafts amongst the most popular.

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Tyspane Care Home
Dog Show
Due to weather conditions, we held the second part of our ‘Staff Dog Show’ indoors, and residents enjoyed choosing from categories on our photo board, like ‘Best in Show’. Weather-permitting, we will hold an outdoor dog show later in the year.
Afternoon Tea
Residents enjoyed an afternoon cream tea whilst choosing their favourite pooch at our staff dog show.
Arts & Crafts
As a follow on from a flower arranging session, residents got creative and enjoyed drawing and painting daffodils and other spring flowers and foliage.
The Great Tyspane Bake Off
Residents loved taking part in the great Tyspane bake off.
Arts & Crafts
Residents enjoyed our recent craft sessions, where we made butterfly gardens and fresh flower cards.
Elvis Tribute
Residents at Tyspane enjoyed a rock & roll tribute with our very own Activities Assistant and Elvis lookalike, Bev Hughes. Everyone clapped and sang along to all their favourite Elvis numbers.
