Activities at Vecta House Care Home

Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Tanya Everson

Activities Coordinator

Hello, My name is Tanya and I am the Lifestyle Leader here at Vecta House.

I started work at Vecta in June 2018 as part of the housekeeping team. I have worked as part of Activities Team for over a year and have grown very passionate in ensuring our residents have stimulating, life enriching activities available every day. I feel proud knowing I have brought smiles and laughter to our residents and love working with the great team we have here at Vecta House.

Nurses and carers enjoyed these lovely gifts from the community! Thank you, everyone!

National Tea Day

Some of our residents enjoyed a cream tea on this lovely sunny day on National Tea Day.

The Magic Table

Residents had lots of fun on The Magic Table here at Vecta. The Magic Table is an interactive light projector that was originally developed in The Netherlands. It's a specialist piece of technology designed to support residents living with dementia, and is proven to help staff promote stimulation through specialised games.

Positivity is a Plus

We have started a positivity tree, and our theme in February is 'love', so we have asked the staff to write why the love their job, and, as you can see, there is a lot hanging on the tree.

Nail Pals

Frances loved getting her nails done by Tammy!

Music & Movement

Resident, Ron, had lots of fun during our Music & Movement session.
