"During my mum's week of respite, I was impressed by the kindness, friendliness and competency of all the staff I came in contact with. Mum's wishes were always at the centre of whatever she was involved with. Activities were arranged on a daily basis and staff were encouraging and supportive of residents to engage, socialise and have fun. Nothing seemed too much trouble for the staff, whatever their role. The food was excellent and choices were always available. Mum thoroughly enjoyed her time there and is looking forward to returning in the future."

"We chose White Lodge for my aunt's needs for several reasons... as a lifetime outdoor girl she could appreciate the beautiful countryside setting and certainly on the ground floor the inside/decor is very nice, it has several lounges allowing her to either socialise with other residents or have some quiet time without being in her room all the time. The ground floor layout allows for a decent circular walk in the safety of the home and there are plenty of residents she could interact with. What you can't so easily tell beforehand is how good the care will be, but her care has been extremely good, her care assistants are amazing, but it's unfair to single them out. All staff are kind, patient and caring, housekeeping, the nurses and activities team are great and our interactions with every member of the White Lodge team has been very positive, communication from all levels is excellent. Our thanks to all at White Lodge for helping to improve my aunt's quality of life, we as a family really appreciate it."

"My Aunt had to be moved to a nursing home from a care home and in a really short period of time, this was undertaken with minimal distress to her. I was dreading the move but it was quickly and professionally done and my aunt settled in amazingly well and is very content in her lovely room. Staff are very cheerful and attentive and all call her auntie which helps to keep her relaxed and happy. I would thoroughly recommend this home and its staff to anyone as they keep me well informed and always have time to chat whenever I visit (which is quite often)."

"White Lodge is a caring care home. My mother needs 24hr care which is provided with dignity and friendship by all the staff. The ambience and decor are first class. Food is of an excellent standard we have eaten there on a number of occasions. We couldn't wish for a better home for my mother."

"The manager was very supportive in arranging administrative support at a very difficult time during my mother's 2-week stay after being transferred from hospital. Death of my father/husband to my mother particularly as was on a Sunday and with covid restrictions."

"My mum-in-law moved to White Lodge in August 2020. Obviously, there was a concern about the impact of covid-19, but we needn't have worried. The care she has received has been exceptional. Physically, she has improved markedly. When asked her opinion on White Lodge, she replied 'perfect'. The family are so relieved that she has found a place where the staff are so warm, supportive and caring. It's good to see her sparkle again!"

"I am unable to comment on a lot of the care issues as I have not been able to visit indoors since the day we left my mother-in-law as a resident. What I have seen of the staff indicates they are very helpful and caring, especially when my mother-in-law gets upset. The new manager has been especially helpful to me regarding some financial issues which I raised and I can't thank her enough for sorting them out. My mother-in-law tells me they take good care of her and she has lots to eat."

"Difficult for me to assess due to lockdown, but the staff seem very friendly, helpful and caring. They have been helpful to me as a visitor and when I have rung in. She seems to be kept safe and well looked after, so I'm happy with that."

"Staff have been fantastic during this very difficult time of covid 19. I have been able to video call when I wanted to and been able to see Mum through the window when I have dropped off gifts for Mum. I cannot thank the whole team enough."

"I wanted to record what a great job the staff of the White Lodge are doing at the moment. It is obviously a difficult time for staff, residents and relatives, coping with the changed circumstances demanded by the Covid-19 situation and, whilst I miss visiting my Mum, it is a great reassurance to know she is being so well cared for at all times. When I call to speak to Mum, the staff are always polite and helpful and it seems like nothing is too much trouble. Mum also says she has everything she needs and is well looked after, which is nice to hear. I would like to record my sincere appreciation to everyone concerned with her care and the running of White Lodge - it is a very difficult job that all undertake but one that is valued very highly by me."

"The staff are generally friendly and gentle but one to two can be autocratic. But it must be said in fairness that some patients do not know how to behave. The grounds are lovely and well maintained, we get enough well organised activities."
