Activities at Adlington Manor Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.
Lynne Bowler
I joined the activities team at Adlington Manor in May 2017. Previously, I have worked as a tree surgeon and have had heavy involvement with the Guides and Brownies. I love participating in activities with residents, whether that's by driving the minibus on trips outside the home, or by engaging in themed days.
I am passionate about my role and especially the challenge of coming up with new ways to engage as many residents as possible in our activities here.

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Adlington Manor Care Home
10 Years of Service
Deputy Manager, Cath Ritchie, recently received her 10 year Long Service Award. Congratulations, Cath – we look forward to another wonderful 10 years!
Museum Visit
Residents took a trip to the local war museum to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the RAF. They enjoyed a wonderful day that invoked memories of times gone by.
Sport Relief
Residents took part in Sport Relief to raise money for charity. Everyone had a lot of fun!
100th Birthday Celebrations
Resident, Ella, celebrated her 100th birthday celebrations with staff and family. She had a fabulous day and is already looking forward to her next one. Her birthday card from the Queen was also opened with great joy.
Adlington in the Snow
The recent snowfall recently made for a beautiful sight here at Adlington Manor.
A Taste of Something Sweet
The Adlington gentlemen visited a local microbrewery and enjoyed tasting the beer and hot chocolate.
