Activities at Archview Lodge Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.
Diane Wood
Hi, my name is Diane and I am Head of Activities here at Archview. I have worked in the homes since 2009.
I strongly believe in creating moments for our residents and embracing their individuality with tailor made activities, whilst remaining person centred and respecting resident’s preferences. Every day I like to ensure the residents on memory lane can enjoy themselves and have a good time whilst forming bonds with each other and the staff around them.
Outside of work, I have a 23 years old son and a wee dog called Hugo and my ambition is to make people smile and be happy.
Read our brochure 'Life-enriching activities' for more information about life in our care homes.

Life at Archview Lodge Care Home
St Patrick's Day
To celebrate St Patrick's Day, we were visited by an Irish dancing group who showed off their best moves to residents. It was a great day and we hope to see them again next year.
Stars in Our Eyes
Every year, we host a 'Stars in Your Eyes' competition, where staff members get the opportunity to dress up and either sing or mime as their favourite singer or group.
Amy Campell was declared the winner with her rendition of 'The Wee Cock Sparra'.
15 Years of Service
We recently celebrated Finance Business Partner, Lorraine Houston's, 15 years of service. Well done, Lorraine!
A Triple Celebration
We recently celebrated Gillian Williams getting her 10 year Long Service Award and Carers, Steve Horsburgh and Lindsay Roy, receiving their NVQ Level 3 in Care. Well done to all!
Burns Supper
Here are some pictures from our Burns supper. Robert McKay joined us as a speaker for the night to recite some poetry, and we were also joined by Scottish dancers from a local dance group.
Nativity
Staff and residents got themselves into the festive mood by performing a nativity play at Archview Lodge for residents and relatives.
