Activities at Archview Lodge Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.
Diane Wood
Hi, my name is Diane and I am Head of Activities here at Archview. I have worked in the homes since 2009.
I strongly believe in creating moments for our residents and embracing their individuality with tailor made activities, whilst remaining person centred and respecting resident’s preferences. Every day I like to ensure the residents on memory lane can enjoy themselves and have a good time whilst forming bonds with each other and the staff around them.
Outside of work, I have a 23 years old son and a wee dog called Hugo and my ambition is to make people smile and be happy.

Employee of the Month - October
Congratulations to our October Employee of the Month, Cathie Klien Woolthus. Well done, and thank you for your dedication and hard work that has made this award well-deserved.
Employee of the Month - August
Our Employee of the Month for August is Care Assistant, Stephanie Niedermayer. Steph only started her career in the middle of July this year, but immediately meshed so well with everyone in the home; the residents are extremely fond of her, and the staff all say she is a naturally caring person.
15 Years of Service
Charge Nurse, Alexis Moore, celebrated 15 years with Barchester recently with her staff and residents. Alexis said she has been so happy working at Archview and loves looking after the residents. She also said that Barchester is a great company to work for, and she is looking forward to the next 15 years.
Veterans Dinner
Resident, Tom, and his nephew, Dave, went out to a celebration dinner held on board the Royal Britannia. Tom received a special invite from the Russian Consulate to attend as one of the veterans from the Second World War's Arctic convoys. Tom said it was a great occasion and an honour to be able to attend.
Double Celebration at Archview
Carer, Margaret Fleming, celebrated 10 years of service as a Care Assistant on the night shift at Archview. She enjoyed a tea party with her colleagues on night duty.
Staff Nurse, Kaysha Coulbourne, received her 15 year long service award and celebrated with residents and staff. Kaysha started work at Archview Lodge at the age of 16, as a weekend hostess, and she then became a Carer before applying and training as a nurse.
