Activities at Awel-Y-Mor Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Live Virtual Event: Flower Arranging

We all had a really fun afternoon doing the Virtual Flower Arranging Demonstration for table decorations for valentine’s Day.

There was plenty of fun and Laughter, and the residents really enjoyed, and produced beautiful table decorations.  The residents have requested to this on a regular basis. So I think there will be plenty of Green Fingers!!

A Day of Celebration

On The 7th Of February we had a day of Celebration.

We had a visit from our CEO Pete Calveley, Divisional Director Angela Bradford and our regional Manager Claire Brewer.

The visit was to thank and reward the staff for our recent amazing inspection report and the resulting internal recognition as an outstanding service.

This is a massive achievement as we are only one of 14 home out of 260 to achieve this rating.

Every staff member was rewarded with £500 love to shop voucher.

What an amazing team we have.
