Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Bamfield Lodge Care Home
Ice-Lolly making
Residents thoroughly enjoyed making their own ice-lollies, they chose to make refreshing orange lollies to be enjoyed in the summer sunshine in the garden.
Dance Club
Residents had a wonderful time showing us their best moves at our weekly dance club. Each week we have a different dance style and this week’s theme was Rock n Roll!
Sidney the Therapy Dog
We have had the pleasure of having Sidney come to volunteer with us. He has been spreading joy and smiles around the home. Residents have enjoyed playing and cuddling with him as well as taking him for walks around the community. His calm and loving temperament has brought a lovely atmosphere into the home and we love having him come to visit.
VE-Day
We celebrated the 75th VE-Day today with a street party style afternoon tea! Residents enjoyed talking about their experiences with VE-Day and their memories of a post-war childhood. We were joined by the students of City of Bristol College who came to celebrate alongside us! We all enjoyed getting in the spirit with hats, flags, and plenty of singing. Especially to nations sweetheart Vera Lynn.
Bristol City College students come for a visit
We had the pleasure of having students from the Bristol City College, spend some time with us. The residents had a lovely time chatting to them and sharing memories and stories of their time in education. We cant wait to have them back!
Introducing our new Magic Table
We are excited to announce that we have our very own magic table at our home. The table has lots of amazing benefits to help to enrich the lives of our residents, including digital painting by numbers, brain training apps, interactive sensory games and lots more. A resident who had a lot of fond memories of holidays to Greece was thrilled to be able to visit again through Google Earth. We have also been using it to keep fit, by following exercise videos using the YouTube App. We are so excited to continue using this and discovering what else it has to offer!
