Activities at Bamfield Lodge Care Home

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Life at Bamfield Lodge Care Home

Name That Dance

Our ‘Name that Dance’ competition was a great hit with residents. We all enjoyed matching the music clips to the ballroom dances, and did our best to remember the precise moves and sequences of many dancehall favourites.

It was also lovely to see some people up dancing and showing us all how it’s done. All we can say is, who needs ‘Strictly?!’

Ker Plunk!

Residents enjoyed fun and games whilst competing in our giant Ker Plunk tournament.

Making dreams come true

This lovely resident has always been an avid fan of Bristol City football club and never missed a game. He always dreamt of owning a signed photo of his beloved players and team. When staff found out about this they made it come true. Sally our activities coordinator contacted the club and they were delighted to help and send this lovely gift.

Virtual trip to the farm

Residents have adapted well to our new virtual world. We recently had a fantastic tour of a local farm via zoom. Everyone was able to see how the farm was run on a day to day basis and find out more about farm life. It was a lovely experience and we are thinking of where to go next.
