Activities at Chorleywood Beaumont Care Home
Our Activities Coordinators are constantly striving to mentally and physically stimulate those we support by organising group and individual activities for anyone and everyone to participate in. There are regular weekly outings in the minibus to nearby places of interest including the local theatre and Cathedral's as well as visits from PAT dogs, visiting zoos, musicians and entertainers. We also host evenings such as our Pizza & Quiz Night that we encourage relatives to come to. Activities are one of the most important aspects of a care home, so it is essential that our team are dedicated to ensuring that residents are entertained, and that life at Chorleywood Beaumont Care Community is fun and active.
Loredana David
I joined Barchester in November 2016 as an senior care assistant and in May 2024 I became the Activity Lead at Chorleywood Beaumont.
It is a joy to work with such a great team and nothing makes me happier to bring joy and laughter into our residents daily lives.

Life at Chorleywood Beaumont Care Home
Russell School Visits
We had the most perfect day when over 20 children from the Junior Vocals Choir at the Russell School came to perform for us. Relationships that form between children and the elderly are truly remarkable; you’d be surprised how much they have in common. Well done to everyone at the Russell School – you all were outstanding!
Christmas Lights
A massive thank you to our Senior General Manager, Wayne Hughes, who drove some of us to London to see all the gorgeous lights. It was an afternoon full of excitement! We all said that Harrods was one of our favourites.
Emily Yarrow Performs
We had the pleasure of hearing the talented Emily Yarrow sing an array of songs for us. It was a perfect afternoon!
Christmas Jumper Day
A massive thank you to all the staff who participated in Christmas Jumper Day. Resident, Chris, had the tricky job of deciding on 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in our Christmas jumper competition, and a huge well done to Sharon, Elena and Diana for winning the top three prizes. It was a wonderful, jolly day and everyone looked fabulous!
Royal Masonic School Come to Visit
We’ve been lucky enough to have the pleasure of welcoming the lovely girls from the Royal Masonic School into our home, they performed some of the Christmas carols & songs they’ve been practising. The girls did an amazingly well, all of us here had a wonderful time. Hilda, one of our residents said it ‘bring backs memories of when I was at school’ & Desmond said ‘it was a delight’. So a massive Thank you to the girls from the Masonic School for such a lovely afternoon.
Sharon’s Christmas Choir
Our talented Admin Assistant Sharon has set up a beautiful Christmas Choir! The Choir is held every Wednesday at 2.15pm and the final performance will be Wednesday 19th of December at 3pm. We’ve been delighted to see how many of our relatives have come to support us every week, even our friend Warren form Chorleywood Christ Church has been coming over to help as a volunteer. It’s been coming along beautifully. Keep up the good work everyone, we can wait for the final performance!
