Activities at Chorleywood Beaumont Care Home

Our Activities Coordinators are constantly striving to mentally and physically stimulate those we support by organising group and individual activities for anyone and everyone to participate in. There are regular weekly outings in the minibus to nearby places of interest including the local theatre and Cathedral's as well as visits from PAT dogs, visiting zoos, musicians and entertainers. We also host evenings such as our Pizza & Quiz Night that we encourage relatives to come to. Activities are one of the most important aspects of a care home, so it is essential that our team are dedicated to ensuring that residents are entertained, and that life at Chorleywood Beaumont Care Community is fun and active.

Activity Coordinator Lead

I joined Barchester in November 2016 as an senior care assistant and in May 2024 I became the Activity Lead at Chorleywood Beaumont.

It is a joy to work with such a great team and nothing makes me happier to bring joy and laughter into our residents daily lives.

Flower Land

A huge thank you to all the staff at Flower Land Garden Centre who helped us have a wonderful day out. Flower Land has a huge selection of products, including clothing, homeware, arts and crafts, local foods, candles & bath bombs, and even beautiful fish to look at! We all had a fantastic day out shopping and ended a perfect afternoon with some scrumptious tea & cake!

Breakfast with the Rangers

Breakfast with the Rangers

As a way of saying thank you for all their hard work in the community, we invited our local Chorleywood Rangers to come and have a full English breakfast free of charge before they went out to work.

The Chorleywood Rangers maintain the beautiful cricket grounds, common, cemetery and allotments, along with hosting several other events, such as volunteer days.

We had a lovely morning and it’s the least we could do.

What makes a good marriage?

Staff, residents and guests celebrated the day of love by telling us about what makes a good marriage.

We love our emergency services!

We love our emergency services!

For Valentine’s Day, we opened up our doors to welcome the emergency services personnel in the local area for Valentine’s Day.

As a way of saying thank you to the paramedics, nurses, police officers and other emergency service workers who don’t always have time to go home or back to their workplace on their break, the team and residents of Chorleywood Beaumont provided a free breakfast to all emergency service staff, including bacon sandwiches, sausage baps or egg on toast, along with tea & coffee – all available free of charge!
