Activities at Chorleywood Beaumont Care Home

Our Activities Coordinators are constantly striving to mentally and physically stimulate those we support by organising group and individual activities for anyone and everyone to participate in. There are regular weekly outings in the minibus to nearby places of interest including the local theatre and Cathedral's as well as visits from PAT dogs, visiting zoos, musicians and entertainers. We also host evenings such as our Pizza & Quiz Night that we encourage relatives to come to. Activities are one of the most important aspects of a care home, so it is essential that our team are dedicated to ensuring that residents are entertained, and that life at Chorleywood Beaumont Care Community is fun and active.

I joined Barchester in November 2016 as an senior care assistant and in May 2024 I became the Activity Lead at Chorleywood Beaumont.

It is a joy to work with such a great team and nothing makes me happier to bring joy and laughter into our residents daily lives.

Celebrating Burns Night in style.

Residents at Chorleywood Beaumont celebrated Burns Night in style! We enjoyed traditional Scottish festivities, including delicious haggis, poetry readings, and lively music, all in honor of the beloved poet Robert Burns. The atmosphere was filled with warmth, laughter, and camaraderie as everyone came together to embrace this cherished tradition. A big thank you to everyone who participated and made the evening so special!

The Big Bird Watch

Our residents, relatives, and staff gathered on our beautiful green grounds with their binoculars for a wonderful garden birdwatching event. It was a joy to connect with nature and observe the vibrant birdlife that visits our gardens. Everyone had a great time sharing stories, enjoying the fresh air, and learning about the different species we spotted. A big thank you to everyone who participated and made the day so special! We look forward to more outdoor adventures together!

What a wonderful day for the residents of Chorleywood Beaumont! They had a fantastic outing to Van Hage Chenies garden center, where they explored beautiful plants and gifts. Pet therapy at Chorleywood Beaumont.

Performing Pets returned last week to brighten our residents' day with their adorable budgies and charming cockatoo! Every resident had the chance to meet these beautiful birds, and the joy they brought was truly heartwarming. Our residents nursed in bed especially cherish these special interactions.
