Activities at Claremont Parkway Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.
Elain Carey
Hi. My name is Elain and I help to deliver the daily programme of activities and entertainment and celebrations - there is always a birthday to celebrate! I like to see residents making friends and chatting with each other. I have a background in dance, music and acting, and I am also a qualified Zumba instructor, so I love it when we have entertainers in the home. We also have regular visits by therapy pets which residents find very relaxing.

Life at Claremont Parkway Care Home
A Voice in a Million
Residents had a marvellous afternoon here at Claremont Parkway and enjoyed a performance by Fiona Harrison. It was so nice to welcome our first entertainer back in the home.
Ball Games
Residents got creative here at Claremont Parkway and made some yarn balls. The residents loved getting their hands in and getting messy, it was all part of the fun. We can’t wait to pop the balloons and see how they look.
Lainy’s Rescue Food Donation
We had a lovely visit from Harry and the ladies at Lainy’s Rescue, here at Claremont Parkway.
The team and the families donated food to support Lainy’s Rescue. As a thank you, the ladies brought Harry along to meet our residents.
Harry was found wandering the streets of Wellingborough and is now being taken care of by the team at Lainy’s Rescue.
Our residents loved meeting Harry and we are all sure that he will find his forever home.
Welcome Back!
We welcomed Debbie, our hairdresser, back at Claremont Parkway. The residents were so happy to see her; we had lots of smiling faces.
Easter Card Competition
As part of the Easter celebrations at Claremont Parkway, we ran an Easter card competition and invited local nurseries to take part.
Children from Busy Bees Nursery and Windermere Nursery made cards to enter into the competition. Residents at Claremont Parkway enjoyed seeing all the cards the children had created. The residents picked winners for first place, second place and third place prizes.
Karen Bevan, the Member and Community Relations Officer for the Co-operative, very kindly donated gift vouches for us to purchase the prizes with.
Easter Sunday
Residents and the team here at Claremont Parkway had lots of fun on Easter Sunday with a guess the weight of the cake competition. Congratulations to Nicoleta, one of our wonderful nurses, who won the Easter egg prize.
