Activities at Claremont Parkway Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.
Elain Carey
Hi. My name is Elain and I help to deliver the daily programme of activities and entertainment and celebrations - there is always a birthday to celebrate! I like to see residents making friends and chatting with each other. I have a background in dance, music and acting, and I am also a qualified Zumba instructor, so I love it when we have entertainers in the home. We also have regular visits by therapy pets which residents find very relaxing.

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Claremont Parkway Care Home
Knitting Club
Our knitting club have been knitting cannula gloves for babies. One of our volunteers brought to our attention the request, from a paediatric nurse from Cambridge. They have a lot of premature babies receiving IV antibiotics and they use little knitted tubes to cover the cannulas.

Claremont Christmas Fete
Come along and meet Santa, enjoy a range of stalls and festive fun with our residents and staff at our Christmas Fete on 7th December 2pm - 4.30pm. All ages welcome!
