Activities at Four Hills Care Home
Our activity and lifestyle programme is arranged for all our residents to participate in and is updated regularly based on ideas from our residents group during our resident forum. Our Resident of the Day strategy ensures each person receives at least one day each month where the focus is all about them.
We have a monthly concert and to date this is appreciated and enjoyed by most residents. The Four Hills Taverns is open for business every Friday afternoon and is an area where residents and staff socialise, hold pub quizzes and partake in a little refreshment.
The team at Four Hills try hard to meet everyone's needs and encourage all residents and their families to join in the fun.

Virtual Event with Sarah Deters
We had a brilliant time with curator Sarah Deters as she took us on a virtual ‘Music Through the Ages’ tour of St Cecilia’s Hall: Concert Room and Music Museum.
Our residents were thrilled to discover weird and wonderful musical instruments, hear their unusual sounds, and find out how instruments have changed over the last 500 years.
The virtual live event explored the world-renown collection of musical instruments on display at St Cecilia’s Hall, Scotland’s oldest concert hall.
A lovely time was had by all.
Donation to local Charity, Lanarkshire Epilepsy
Four Hills were delighted to recently present Lanarkshire Epilepsy Support with a cheque for £1000 to help towards their wonderful singing workshops.
The aim of Lanarkshire Epilepsy is to provide support, to raise awareness and increase understanding of the effects of epilepsy and to establish monthly meetings with the purpose of overcoming the ignorance, fear and misunderstanding that often comes with epilepsy. Greater understanding will assist people in living a fuller life in terms of education, employment and social and recreational opportunities.
The grant had been awarded by Barchester’s Charitable Foundation, a charity that helps older people and adults with a disability or mental health problems across England, Scotland and Wales by offering grants to help people connect or re-connect with others in their local community.
It was great to welcome Janice and her colleagues Phil and Helen to the home to find out more about Lanarkshire Epilepsy, and what a great job they do at improving the lives of those living with Epilepsy.
