Activities at Harper Fields Care Home
There is always something to do here at Harper Fields and always someone to assist the residents in any activity they wish to take part in. We have entertainers come into the home to sing and play instruments on a weekly basis, as well as visits from PAT dogs, hairdressers, massage therapists and nail technicians to pamper those who live here. Residents' spiritual needs are taken into account at Harper Fields; we have regular services from the Catholic and Methodist church, in addition to the Church of England, and for our non-religious residents, we have a weekly calming and peaceful ‘mindfulness and meditation group,’ which is very popular, especially for those living with dementia. Residents often like to attend cinema evenings to watch their favourite films on the big screen (complete with sweets and popcorn), or develop new skills at our computer classes, where they can learn how to Skype their families in other countries. Our activities are tailored to suit the individual interests and capabilities of residents and our specialised equipment enables those we support to enjoy everything we have to offer.

Life at Harper Fields Care Home
Cupcake Day
Cupcake Day was on 13th June 2019, and we celebrated here at Harper Fields. We had some beautiful, delicious treats for inviting friends and families to buy them, so we can raise as much dough as possible to help beat dementia.
Easter Fete
Residents, friends, families and locals all gathered at Harper Fields for their annual Easter Fete. The sun was shining as the guests took part in a number of games such as an Easter Egg hunt, guess what's in the box, guess the name of the bear and of course an Easter bonnet parade. Debbie Miles came to entertain the residents with her beautiful voice as staff and relatives joined the residents to do the conga around the grounds.Generous donations were given on the day raising money for Birmingham Children's hospital. A great day was had by all! We look forward to seeing everyone at our next fundraising event in the summer.
Out & About
The ladies loved visiting the library in our local village and met some lovely people there. We then went to the shops to have a look around then headed back for some lunch.
Open Day
We had such great fun during our open day here at Harper Fields. As guests entered our beautiful home, they were greeted by our General Manager and welcomed with refreshments.
We had lots going on throughout the day, including a great concert that was enjoyed by everyone who attended. We also had a sweepstake for the Grand National, which got everyone talking.
Contact Choir
We had a fantastic visit from the Contact Choir, who are based from Solihull. Everyone enjoyed listening to the ladies and also singing along.
Abbey Fields
We visited Abbey Fields in Kenilworth on a beautiful sunny day. We enjoyed a lovely picnic down by the lake and loved watching all the ducks and people passing by.
