Elena Sandu
Hello, my name is Elena, and I am the General Manager here at Hethersett Hall Care Home. Welcome to our website.
I qualified as a General Nurse 26 years ago and I joined Barchester Healthcare in 2015. Caring for the elderly generation has always been very close to my heart and myself and my team are committed to ensuring that all of our residents receive good quality of life and care at all times.
Here at Hethersett Hall we are fortunate to care for our residents in the lovely setting of this beautiful Georgian country manor. I am proud that beyond the great care my team also ensures that our residents have an active social calendar filled with events and outings.

Melissa Fisher
Melissa is our Deputy Manager here at Hethersett Hall and is responsible for overseeing and making sure the highest level of care is delivered to our residents at all times. Melissa started life with the Barchester 8 years ago as a care assistant and has been a deputy manager for the last four years.
I am passionate about delivering good quality, personalised care. This is reflected within the fantastic team we have here at Hethersett Hall. I am always available for a coffee and a chat and welcome you to meet our care team and view our home.
Lee Sharpe
Hello, my name is Lee and I am the Unit Manager on the Memory Lane Community here at Hethersett hall. I have worked within care for for over five years now, with two of those being at Hethersett. I started as a Care Assistant, working my way up to a Senior Carer position and have now been given the amazing opportunity to be a Unit Manager.
My goal is to deliver the best quality care to those we support. Garden House is not only a Memory Lane Community, we are a family and, along with my brilliant team, I strive to keep everyone happy and healthy.
Evelin Jakab
Hello, my name is Evelin and I have worked in the care sector with Barchester at Hethersett Hall since 2017. I started here as a care assistant working up to a senior carer and a year later I had the great opportunity to become a Unit Manager for the Main Hall of Hethersett Hall.
Since doing the role my motivation and passion have only got bigger, as I find this such a rewarding job, to be able to make such a difference in each individual's life and work with such a fantastic team. We believe that paying attention to the smallest detail can make a big difference in our resident's lives.
Matthew Bussey
Matthew is the home's administrator and joined the Barchester Health Care 12 years ago. Matthews role involves supporting the General Manager and taking responsibility for all the financial and administration aspects of the home.
Caroline Evans
Hi, I’m Caroline Evans and I’ve been at Hethersett Hall for 7 years now and been in the care sector for 13 years and believed it was time for a change in my career at Barchester.
I’m extremely motivated for my new role as activities coordinator. I hope I will bring joy and fun to everyone’s daily lives. I am a highly active and bubbly person. Looking after other people has always been my priority and I will do my best every day to make sure everyone is happy, safe and smiling.
I look forward to meeting you and hope you will all join in the events and activities that I will bring to Hethersett Hall.
Becky Brown
Hello, my name is Becky and I'm the Head Chef here at Hethersett Hall.
I have over 20 years of catering experience having acquired my NVQ in Catering Craft and receiving my diploma at the age of 16. I joined Barchester in 2017 as a carer with an NVQ Level 2 in care after my fond memories of working here as a second chef in 2011. I then became Second Chef in June 2022 and was quickly offered Head Chef in July 2022.
Having worked on care here at Hethersett Hall I know all our residents really well and take a very person-centred approach to my cooking and baking. I love creating new dishes and variations depending on my resident's likes and dislikes, it makes me happy knowing people are enjoying my food!
James Ramm
James is Head of Maintenance here at Hethersett Hall. He is responsible for ensuring everything is working well and taking into account that every aspect of Health and Safety has been observed. James strives to ensure the home is well-maintained and safe for our residents that we care for.
Anna Wyatt
Hello, I am the head housekeeper at Hethersett Hall, I have a worked here as a housekeeper for a 2 years and my team and I are responsible for keeping everything clean and tidy to a high standard, I take great pride in my work and its made even more special by the conversations and chats I have with our lovely residents along the way.
Sue Trowse
Sue is our first port of call for all home enquiries. She can always be found in our plush reception area and deals with all attentively.
Sue has worked at Hethersett Hall for over 15 years and has carried out a number of roles, including Care Assistant, Senior Care Assistant and Administrator!
In her spare time, Sue enjoys going out to watch musicals at the theatre, and she lives in Hethersett with her son.
Dulcie Alvi
Hello my name is Dulcie. I oversee and discuss any concerns the residents may have and put forward suggestions to management.
