Activities at Lethen Park Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Amanda McCarthy

Activities Coordinator

We all know that keeping active is important. We have created a wonderful culture within the home and we work together to give residents the best possible experience. We are here to ensure that residents enjoy an environment that is both stimulating and socially active. We ensure the team knows each residents' preferences, so that we can deliver a person-centered program of events and activities. Essential to our homely feel is the strong relationships of trust we build with residents and their families and friends

Activities and Events Partnerships

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Life at Lethen Park Care Home

Wallace Collection

Our homes had a fantastic time joining members of the Wallace Collection for an amazing sensory session.

During the live virtual experience, our residents explored one of the museum’s most beautiful Dutch flower paintings and learnt new drawing techniques.

We cannot wait to put our creative skills to a test and produce beautiful paintings of our own.

Everyone enjoyed the lovely talk, we all had lots of fun and it’s given us plenty of ideas.

Knit and Natter

We had another great time in our weekly Knit and Natter class.

Ladies are making good progress with their new project and we can't wait to see the finish!

, ,

Pamper Afternoons

Residents at Lethen Park enjoyed a visit from our weekly hairdresser, Pauline who helped to make them look and feel even more fabulous!

It's always a good day when Pauline is in the building!

,

Visit from the Local Nursery

We had a beautiful morning celebrating our friendship with Great Western Pre School Nursery and Out of School Clubs

Lethen park residents had a fabulous morning smiling, laughing and reminiscing.

Resident, David enjoyed reading to the children and captivating their attention with all his wonderful voices.

We are so delighted that all the children are gaining confidence each visit and building fantastic relationships with our residents and are very much looking forward to the next visit!

Fish and Chip Fridays

What a brilliant way to start the weekend bu enjoying Fish and Chip Friday.

The staff at Lethen Park tonight treated all the residents to a chippy and it's safe to say it went down a treat. Jasmine one of our carers ensured all residents had a wonderful time, with old school baskets and 1960 music.

Music Through The Ages Virtual Tour

We had a brilliant time with curator Sarah Deters as she took us on a virtual ‘Music Through the Ages’ tour of St Cecilia’s Hall: Concert Room and Music Museum.

Our residents were thrilled to discover weird and wonderful musical instruments, hear their unusual sounds, and find out how instruments have changed over the last 500 years.

The virtual live event explored the world-renown collection of musical instruments on display at St Cecilia’s Hall, Scotland’s oldest concert hall.

A lovely time was had by all.
