Activities at Lethen Park Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Amanda McCarthy

Activities Coordinator

We all know that keeping active is important. We have created a wonderful culture within the home and we work together to give residents the best possible experience. We are here to ensure that residents enjoy an environment that is both stimulating and socially active. We ensure the team knows each residents' preferences, so that we can deliver a person-centered program of events and activities. Essential to our homely feel is the strong relationships of trust we build with residents and their families and friends

Ice cream afternoon at Lethen Park

Over the weekend Residents at Lethen Park enjoyed our very our own ice cream afternoon as we tucked in to ice cream cones; and of course we couldn't forget the flake and sauce to go with it!

Monthly Church Service at Lethen Park

We would like to give a huge welcome to Rodolphe minister at Portlethen Parish Church.

Rodolphe will be visiting to Lethen Park the first Tuesday of every month to help our residents with their spiritual wellbeing.

Gentleman's Club at Lethen Park

We had a lovely gathering for our gentleman’s club.
Gentlemen at Lethen Park were treated to a chip shop lunch and it's safe to say it was thoroughly enjoyed.

We would like to say thank you to CHIPS on the GREEN. The service was absolutely incredible, not only did they deliver, the owner came into lethen park and hand delivered all the supers.

We are delighted to be supporting our local businesses.

Conversations on The Pond with Henry Slator

We had a lovely time joining Henry Slator for an exciting virtual event to discuss his book ‘Conversations at the Pond’.

Henry had an unusual writing journey, which many of our residents found inspiring, he underwent chemotherapy in early 2020, which allowed him to rediscover his light-hearted outlook on life by imagining conversations with creatures in and around his large garden pond and adding buckets of fun.

The entertaining Conversations at the Pond, with its mass of colourful illustrations, took our residents along his journey, they felt inspired, cheered and loved hearing all about Henry’s experiences.

A great time was had by all.

An afternoon of smiles and laughter!

We had a great morning enjoying the BBC production of 'Anything Goes - The Musical'. Blissful songs and great performances had us all smiling, laughing and dancing!
