General Manager
My name is Candy and I’m the General Manager here at Lotus Manor Care Home.
I have been working in the care sector for over 18 years. I trained as a nurse in China and started my journey in the U.K. as a care assistant in 2007. My aspiration is to understand the needs of people, so as to deliver high-quality care services, in a truly person-centred way.
I am incredibly proud to lead the team at Lotus Manor Care Home. It’s a home filled with love, a genuine passion for care, where our residents’ needs always come first.
My team and I look forward to welcoming you into our community.

I have always been a people person, and working in the care sector has been incredibly rewarding. I joined Lotus Manor Care Home in 2025 and have thoroughly enjoyed being part of a dedicated team committed to providing high-quality care. With a background as a Michelin-trained chef and years of experience in luxury hospitality and private catering, I bring creativity, precision, and a passion for exceptional food to my role as Head Chef.
I’ve always believed that food is more than nourishment, it’s a way to connect, comfort, and celebrate life. Working in the care sector has been deeply rewarding, allowing me to craft meals that bring joy to our residents and reflect their personal tastes. It’s a privilege to be part of a team that makes a meaningful difference every day.
In my spare time, I enjoy going to the gym, travelling, practising Kung Fu, and dining out over a good cocktail.

Head of Housekeeping
Hello! My name is Judit, and I am the Head of Housekeeping at Lotus Manor Care Home, I have over 12 years of experience in the profession and have worked in a variety of settings, including luxury hotels in London as well as NHS and GP surgeries. It is always important to me that our home is clean, comfortable, and welcoming for residents, families, and staff.
In my spare time, I enjoy travelling and reading, particularly historical stories. I also love playing football with my two grandchildren.

Bryony Lloyd
Care Assistant
Hi, I’m Bryony. I have over 7 years of specialist experience in dementia care. During this time, I’ve worked in a variety of roles, from housekeeping to senior carer, which has given me a well-rounded understanding of how to provide the best support. In my spare time, I enjoy watching documentaries and going out for walks. I’m also a keen pool player and always look forward to enjoying a game with the residents.

Tawanda Matenhike
Hello! My name is Tawanda, and I am a Health Care Assistant at Lotus Manor Care Home. I have over 10 years of experience in the care sector and have worked in a variety of settings, including care homes and hospitals. I am passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care and have supported individuals with complex needs, including those with tracheostomies, dementia, and medication management. Helping people live life to their fullest potential is at the heart of everything I do.
In my spare time, I enjoy listening to music and watching documentaries—especially those from National Geographic. I also love to travel and explore new places whenever I get the chance.

Hello, my name is Dambar. I have over 20 years of chef experience, having worked in luxury hotels, high-end restaurants, and private hospitals. I take pride in creating high-quality meals and enjoy bringing that same passion for food into care, where good nutrition and a love of cooking can make a real difference to residents’ wellbeing. In my spare time, I enjoy playing music aswell as crafting new wooden musical instruments. I also enjoy my volunteering, where I teach local children the Nepalese language and culture, something I find very rewarding.

My name is Charlotte and I am the Home Services Advisor at Lotus Manor Care Home.
With a background in nursing and home care, I’ve dedicated my career to supporting individuals and families as they begin their journey into care. I specialise in providing thoughtful, compassionate consultations for those at the very start of exploring care options, and I’m here to guide you from your first enquiry through to your first few weeks with us.
My role is all about making the transition into care as smooth and reassuring as possible. I’m passionate about helping people feel informed, supported, and confident every step of the way.
Outside of work, I enjoy playing netball, walking my dog Blue, and spending time outdoors camping.
It’s a privilege to be part of such a warm and dedicated team, where we place people at the heart of everything we do.

My name is Kristiina Owen and I’ve been leading activities in care homes for over a decade.
I first started as a volunteer and quickly realised how much I loved spending time with residents—so much so that I changed careers to focus on activity provision full-time.
I’m passionate about delivering person-centred activities that reflect each resident’s individual story, interests, and wishes. My approach always begins with getting to know everyone personally—listening to their life histories, learning what brings them joy, and tailoring experiences that truly resonate.
Whether it’s a quiet moment of conversation, a lively group outing, or a creative project, I believe every interaction matters. I love spending time with residents and creating opportunities for connection, laughter, and meaning.
Outside of work, I enjoy gardening, walking in National Trust gardens, going to concerts and opera, exploring history, and reading.
It’s a privilege to be part of a team that values each person’s uniqueness. I look forward to bringing warmth, creativity, and care to every day.

Hi I’m Richard, Head of maintenance at Lotus Manor, With many years’ experience in maintenance I look forward to bringing my knowledge to ensure a safe and comfortable Environment and meeting the high standards of Barchester for our residents, visitors and staff.

Hello, my name is Sally. I worked for a luxury airline company for over 35 years on the front line of Heathrow customer services, where I developed a passion for helping people and making sure they felt supported and cared for. That same dedication naturally applies to working in a care home, where offering kindness, reassurance, and a friendly face can make all the difference to someone’s day. I knew I wanted to work in an environment where I could provide care for the community and be part of something meaningful.
In my spare time, I enjoy going for walks with my miniature Shetland Sheepdog, Stevie.

Hello, my name is Nina. I have 5 years of experience in care, during which I have developed skills in communication, person-centred care, safeguarding, and care planning. Over the years, I’ve embraced every opportunity for growth in my career, which has helped me to become both confident and compassionate in my work. I hold a Level 4 Diploma in Health and Social Care and a Master’s degree in Education from the University of Hertfordshire. In my spare time, I love listening to R&B music and dancing, and when we have a live singer in, I’m always the first to join in and enjoy dancing with the residents.

With 14 years of experience in both the NHS and residential care settings, and an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, I bring a wealth of knowledge and hands-on expertise to my role.
Supporting others has always been close to my heart, and working in the care sector has given me the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. I find great joy in building relationships with our residents and helping them feel safe, valued, and cared for every day.

In my spare time, I enjoy exploring new cycling routes, unwinding with a good book, and taking time to relax. What I look forward to most is helping residents feel at home by making mealtimes enjoyable and special.
