Meet the Lotus Manor Care Home Team
A wonderful team will be ready to welcome residents and will include: carers, activities coordinators, chefs, housekeepers and more. This carefully selected team will be in place to ensure that residents enjoy their time at the home and are supported to live life to the fullest.
Marie Louis Crooks
My name is Marie. I am the Home Manager at Lotus Manor. I look forward to welcoming you into our beautiful new home.
I am an experienced, supportive, caring, and efficient leader with over 20 years of experience in the Health and Social Care sector and over 10 years in a management position.
I have worked in various Leadership and Management positions within the healthcare sector with extensive experience working in partnership with external stakeholders and managing large teams.
I have love and passion for leading a team and being supportive of my colleagues as well as the residents and their families. I have worked with several client groups and their needs include people with Complex Physical and Emotional needs, Mental Health needs, and Behaviours that challenge Epilepsy and Dementia. The skills and competence obtained from studying for a Master’s Degree (MSc) in Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care have enabled me to successfully plan, lead and implement change within a healthcare setting. I have a strong work ethic and I am proud to work in the care sector which has been recognised by NHS England and CQC who complimented me on my leadership style, determination, and commitment to implement change working as one team. I always put people first show kindness and still have the energy to love life and make it meaningful for myself and those in my care.
In my spare time, I train to run half marathons and raise money for local charities. I have a keen interest in current Care Standards, legislation and Innovation which includes– Person-centred Assessment and Care Planning, staff and carers training and Positive Behavioural Support (PBS), and designing and implementing Best Practice Guidelines for Older People and People who live with Dementia.
Ilka Breytenbach
I have been in the healthcare industry since 2021 and soon realised that this is what I was meant to do.
I studied towards becoming a senior carer, which materialised in 2022.
I joined Barchester in April 2023 as the Home Administrator and also used this opportunity to further my studies in management.
I have found my passion in caring for others and leading teams in making sure we keep the residents best interests at heart.
I am dedicated to my role as Deputy Manager and look forward to working together by making a difference in the lives of others.
Julie Shaw
My name is Julie and I am the home services advisor for Lotus Manor Care Home.
I have been with Barchester since summer 2024 as a customer relations manager and now excited to be joining the team at Lotus Manor Care Home as the home services advisor.
My past roles have been within a sales and care background helping with the customers journey and provide a seamless process in sometimes a sensitive nature. Having had my own business in estate agency and retirement living I now have been able to combine all these experiences during my time at Barchester.
The home and the beautiful setting of Send Woking is as close to having the perfect job for me and i am looking froward to supporting the residents and all of our fantastic team here at Lotus Manor.
