Activities at Lynde House Care Home
Our Activities Coordinators get a real buzz off their work here as enthusiasm is essential for the role. We decorate and celebrate for all the big annual events, Valentine's Day, Easter, Mothering Sunday and much more. There are also regular fixtures in our activities programme, including bingo, a sherry morning and quizzes, that are always well-attended. There's also an International Day that we hold to celebrate the wonderful ethnic diversity of our staff, where members of our team and their families give up their time to showcase their national costumes, dances and songs. Of course, we also have activities and services tailored to those residents who prefer the quiet life, such manicures or simply a friendly chat and a cup of tea. We always do our best to learn about residents' hobbies and interests and try to arrange our activities programme around their individual likes and dislikes.

Life at Lynde House Care Home
Computer Club
Lynde House enjoyed its first Computer Club with Hannah, our new volunteer, who provided one-to-one tuition to residents.
Hannah comes to Lynde House from Embracing Life, a charitable organisation that we work closely with. Embracing Life is based in Richmond and sources volunteers for public, private and third sector organisations.
Staff Pampering Day
Lynde House staff enjoyed a day of pampering on Friday 20th May. There were a range of activities on offer, which were all provided free of charge by our professionals who visit the home. There were also some goodies available from Jo Malone. The day kicked off with a fruit and croissant breakfast, and staff then had their hair styled, which was followed by a chiropody and a body massage. Morning activities ended with a relaxing Pilates class, only to move up a gear after lunch with an hour of Zumba dancing. The day was wrapped up with a delicious BBQ for staff and residents. A relaxing and enjoyable day for all. Roll on next year!
