Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Open Day at Marnel Lodge
We did lots of flower arranging at our open day recently. Everyone was pleased with their work and it made the home a lot prettier.
George & Ginger
George & Ginger visited Marnel Lodge recently. We took lots of photos with them. Everyone enjoyed singing with them so much that they are coming back to visit us in August for an evening event.
An Adorable Visit to Marnel Lodge
Our lovely carers came back to show off their babies to the residents. It was cuddles and chats all round followed by homemade cake afterwards - a truly adorable afternoon.
Heart & Soul Awards - June
Denista Prelavova received our Heart and Soul Award for June. This was for all her hard work on Memory Lane and for always going above and beyond her duties.
Sue Monger's Birthday
Sue is our General Manager at Marnel Lodge. The staff wanted to surprise Sue, so we all pitched in to get her a chocolate fountain. All the residents joined in, as well as the staff. We all sang Happy Birthday and Sue said it was the best birthday ever.
Carers Week at Marnel Lodge
It was Carers Week on 6th June, so our carers got to have cup cakes in the sun by our lovely new fish pond.
