Activities at Marriott House and Lodge Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.
Read our brochure 'Life-enriching activities' for more information about life in our care homes.

Life at Marriott House and Lodge Care Home
Volunteer Appreciation Morning
Our volunteers are important to us here at Marriott House & Lodge. On Tuesday 18th December, we held a volunteer appreciation morning so that we could extend our thanks for all that they do.
Each volunteer was presented with a gift and card as a token of appreciation for all the time they give.
The volunteers undertake a variety of activities with the residents in the home, including weekly news discussions, poetry groups, and one-to-one sessions.
Nursery Visit
On Thursday 13th December, we were thrilled to invite the Teddy Wilfs Nursery School in for a morning of Christmas-themed arts and crafts, games and carols. We are hoping they will become regular visitors in the future!
Christmas Fayre
On Tuesday 11th December, we held our annual Christmas Fayre. There were various stalls, plenty of refreshments and even the chance to meet Santa! All money raised went towards the residents' fund!
15 Years of Service
Congratulations to Stella Algar, who recently received her 15 year Long Service Award. Well done!
