Activities at Mount Tryon Care Home

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Life at Mount Tryon Care Home

Armed Forces Day

Armed Forces Day

Mount Tryon was visited by Kevin Foster MP to join us in celebrating and remembering our forces during Armed Forces Day. We marked the occasion with a remembrance service and built a river of poppies in the garden, handmade by residents and guests.

Harbour Trip

Harbour Trip

We made the most of the weather and went out to enjoy the Great British seaside. We went for a walk along the harbour and the pier, but not before stopping for an ice cream to cool off. It was gloriously hot and we’re looking forward to getting back out there again!

Hand Painting

To get in the summery spirit, residents at Mount Tryon enjoyed a flower painting session. Some of us painted flowers on paper whilst others enjoyed having some beautiful blooms painted on to our arms.

Visit from St. Matthias School

Visit from St. Matthias School

We marked the start of a brilliant new friendship at Mount Tryon, as the children of St. Matthias Pre-School came up to visit us. We have been making poppies together, reading each other stories and even getting competitive and playing giant skittles. We’ve all enjoyed ourselves so much they’re going to come back and visit us every week!

Royal Wedding Celebrations

Residents and guests at Mount Tryon enjoyed celebrated the royal wedding together. Everyone was invited to dress up and guests arrived in homemade outfits. We then raised a glass of prosecco to the happy couple as they celebrated in style.

The Beast from the East

Like most of the country recently, Mount Tryon was visited by the winter weather. The garden looked beautiful in the snow and residents were inspired by the lovely views to have a creative art session whilst keeping warm inside.
