Activities at Oaklands Care Home

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Enjoying the Gardens in the Sunshine

With all this beautiful weather we have been blessed with recently, our residents decided to take some time out to sit in the gardens, relax and listen to the birds. Our garden's water feature also made for a very relaxing background noise. Our gardener has been very busy keeping the grounds looking brilliant and it is so wonderful that our residents are able to get out and enjoy them.

Thank You Cards for National Volunteer's Week

Here at Oaklands, we started National Volunteer Week off with some craft fun by making our volunteers cards to say a big 'THANK YOU' and how appreciative we are of them. Our residents enjoyed cutting out and arranging pictures on the cards.

Rainbow Smiles

We were delighted to receive 54 rainbow pictures for all the residents at Hilton Park to display in their bedrooms. They were drawn and donated from a local schoolgirl called Chloe. Chloe attends Swaffham Prior Primary School which we have visited numerous times in the past to watch nativity plays and choir performances. Up until recently, the school have been visiting us every Wednesday to read with residents. Our residents were so very delighted with the pictures - thank you Chloe for being so thoughtful!
