Activities at Oulton Park Care Home
We have a wonderful team here at Oulton Park and we all work together to provide a stimulating, active environment for our residents that live here. We are always looking for new and innovative ideas for our residents to be part of here, and our activities coordinator works very hard on planning and providing a stimulating busy schedule of activities, as well as assisting the residents with their daily living preferences. We have regular meetings with our families and residents to make sure we are providing things to suit their preferences. We as a home are registered with the National Activity Providers Association and strive to provide a person-centred approach for our residents here.
Louise Hunter-Hall
Hello my name is Louise, I am the life enrichment and activities coordinator at Oulton park care centre.
I joined Oulton Park late 2023 but I have worked in the care industry for over 20 years and I have a compassion for my role and work. During the 20years I have supported many different adults with different care needs including, nursing care, physical disabilities, learning disabilities, independent living and 1:1 needs. I have both my level 2&3 in care and level 2 in sign language.
At Oulton my role is to create and organise a range of engaging and meaningful activities. My role brings me a great deal of comfort and joy.
If I can just make 1 persons life better during my working day at Oulton Park then the day has been a success. I feel honoured, fortunate and blessed to do the job I do.

Life at Oulton Park Care Home
James Padget Hospital
Our activities coordinator, Heidi Innes, recently spent the morning at James Padget Hospital, where we had a stand offering information on our home and the services we provide.
Pathways Care Farm
We recently spent an afternoon visiting Pathways Care Farm in Lowestoft. We had a great day interacting with the animals, and of course stopped by the cafe for a lovely hot drink and cake to top off a wonderful day.
Macmillan Coffee Morning
We recently held a Macmillan Coffee Morning here at Oulton Park to raise money for a fantastic cause. The morning was a huge success as we raised over £110. One of our residents won the raffle and recieved a hamper that was kindly donated to us by our local Co-Op Funeral Services. Thanks to all who came down and helped make it a big success!
Dress-Up Day
Staff at Oulton Park had a silly dress up-day to make the residents smile – and it worked! They loved the different costumes the staff wore and are keen to take part in the next dress-up day.
Care Home Open Day
On National Care Home Open Day, staff dressed as famous friends to tie in with our 'friendship' theme, then, in the afternoon, we invited the local community in for a pet therapy session.
Balloon Memorial Release
Folks at Oulton Park came together to celebrate the lives of those residents who we have sadly lost by holding our third annual balloon memorial release in our beautiful gardens. We had a fantastic turn out and the weather was beautiful. We also introduced a memorial tree to the home, which will be a permanent fixture from now on. Loved ones can hang a memorial bauble on it for those they've lost. Thank you to everyone who joined us on the day - it was wonderful to see you all, as always.
