Gina Smith
Hello. My name is Gina and I am the General Manager here at Parley Place. Welcome to our website.
Originally from South Africa where I was a nurse for many years, I have been living in Dorset for the past 20 years. Since arriving in the UK I have had the privilege in supporting nursing and residential homes, leading outstanding teams to ensure safe, excellent and person centred care is delivered to our customers.
My passion and vision for Parley Place is that all who live and work in our home will feel valued, loved and included. That we will build good, strong relationships together ensuring an ethos of trust, openness, honesty and fulfilled lives.
Kirsty Doyle
I have worked in the care industry for over 10 years, I am so happy to be at Parley Place team. Barchester hold very high standards which is why I am proud to be here to support our residents and be able to develop my career and support the team. Having been here since the day we opened I have progressed to my role now as Deputy Manager and I'm excited to support the home as it continues it's growth. I have a great insight into the needs of the team and residents which gives me the opportunities to ensure we embrace the whole team approach to the care and dedication we show to our residents.
Sharon McVicar
I am very proud to be part of the Parley Place family, starting as a senior carer and working my way up to Care Community Lead.
I have a passion for ensuring our residents are well supported with every aspect of their daily lives, I enjoy getting involved with the events we hold at the home as well.
I work well with Kirsty, our deputy and Gina to ensure that we are all working together for the best results for our residents.
Michelle Venn
I joined the Parley Place family in August 2022 and I'm really excited to build our community here home for our residents and the local community.
I am passionate about the quality care we will provide under Gina's guidance. I will be working closely with our activities co-ordinator to ensure there is lots of choice for things to do for our residents.
Donna Scott
I'm pleased to be joining Parley Place as their Administrator.
Being an administrator is the hub of the home so I get to know residents and relatives as well as the whole Parley team. I really enjoy being able to help everyone and am looking forward to welcoming our new families to the home soon.
Brian Ramsay
I love being a friendly face for our residents. A day in their lives should be filled with the care they deserve and enriched with activities. We embrace each and every moment and make memories, I have many skills and a passion to provide our residents with the social interactions, lots of activities, smiles, laughter and fun.
Kris Groom
I am delighted to join the Parley Place team as Head Chef. My passion is for delivering good quality, nutritious food and ensuring our residents enjoy their meal times. Good nutrition is so important to overall health and well being and our residents deserve the very best.
Having successfully run my own restaurant previously I'm excited to be taking on the Head Chef role here and with my wonderful team of chefs, kitchen assistants and Hostesses delivering a first class service to our residents and guests.
Lee Singleton
Hi I'm Lee, Senior Head of Maintenance here. Parley Place is such a beautiful home and I really enjoy ensuring it is safe and welcoming home for our residents and guests.
I am also Health and Safety champion for the home so am here to ensure we are all sticking to the guidelines and work with the whole team to ensure we are complient.
Julie Brown
Hi I'm Julie, I'm head up the housekeeping team here at Parley place, ensuring it's clean, tidy and that our residents are proud of the home they live in. I really enjoy the interaction with the residents, relatives and community that come and use our home.
I am also the infection control champion for the home meaning I ensure all of our staff are aware of how to reduce cross contamination and look after themselves and our residents.

From the moment I came for my interview and walked through the door I could feel Parley Place was going to be the right home for me to work in. It is so welcoming. I am looking forward to being part of this team and welcoming everyone who steps through the door in the same friendly way.
Honey Bee Gade
Hi I'm Honey, Senior care assistant here at Parley. I love to make sure the residents here are happy, content and safe, I love hearing all the stories they want to tell me and our social coffee mornings are great for all the residents getting to know each other.
Christian Minecan-Parghel
Hi I'm Christian, Night Senior carer here at Parley Place. Ensuring our residents are treated with dignity and feel safe and secure here at home is why I am in the care industry. Making sure everyone is comfortable for the night and they know I am there throughout the night to care for their needs.
Karen Thompson
Hi I'm Karen, I am here to serve our residents with tea/coffee and cakes as well as to help around the home and make sure our residents are looked after. I love nothing more than joining in with our community events and chatting with our residents and guests.
Holly Roberts
Hi I'm Holly, I joined Parley before the home opened and absolutely love making sure our residents have the best experience here, each resident has their own needs and we ensure they are all treated individually.
Sally Barrow
Hi I'm Sally, carer here at Parley Place, I love looking after our residents throughout the night, spending time with them in the evening and making sure they feel safe and comfortable for a restful nights sleep.

Jacky Dunning
I'm Jacky and I love working in the care industry. Being able to help our residents to live well everyday is a privilege and I really enjoy being able to help keep people as independent as possible with support for there needs.
As Dementia Champion I work a lot on our memory lane supporting our residents living with dementia and their families. I am an advocate for ensuring people live well with dementia and work with new team members to follow this same ethos.
Adam Lewis
My name is Adam and I am a Care assistant here at Parley place. I love my job, being in the care industry has taught me a lot about people and I love being able to support our residents to maintain as much independence as possible. The older generation have so many stories and life experience to share with us and it's so lovely to hear them share their stories.
I'm a Falls champion within the home and as such work with our teams to reduce falls within the home whilst also promoting dignity, independence and support.
Christina Richmond-Cole
I have heard so many wonderful reviews about Barchester and I have a passion for care so feel I can achieve my goals here based on their strong values. The team here already feel like a family and we can't wait to continue building our family here at Parley Place.
Hayley Noble
I love working within a care setting, being able to provide good quality, fresh food to our residents and also joining in with cooking clubs to help enable our residents to still be able to participate in baking for us all to enjoy.
Sherry Burbridge
I love to keep our home clean and shiny for our residents, ensuring they have clean clothes and rooms is vital to their care and happiness. I also love to have a chat whilst working, getting to know our residents is a privilege. I am known around the home always being ready with a smile and a hug.
As Well-Being Champion for the home I also support our team whenever anyone needs a chat or support, it's a real honour to be chosen to do this role and I love helping people so it really suits my nature.
Nick Middleton
Hi I'm Nick and I look after the garden here at Parley Place.
It's a beautiful home and the gardens have so many area's and potential it's a really exciting job. As well as looking after the garden I also run the gardening club for our residents and community every Wednesday afternoon - it's the highlight of my week getting the residents to have a say on what they want to happen as it is there home.
