Activities at Prestbury Beaumont Care Community
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Life at Prestbury Beaumont Care Community
Book Club Corner
Across our services, our residents had a lovely time joining Mark Piesing for an exciting virtual event to discuss his book ‘N-4 Down: The Hunt for The Arctic Airship Italia’.
Our residents were thrilled to find out more about the book and the fascinating story of the world-famous exploring airship Italia, returning from the North Pole on May 24, 1928. The airship was struck by a terrible storm and crashed somewhere over the Arctic ice, triggering the largest polar rescue mission in history.
The virtual book club experience was truly enjoyed by all.
A Beautiful Performance from Mana and Adam
We were incredibly honoured to have a beautiful performance from Mana & Adam this month!
Mana & Adam trained at Chethams School of Music. They play the Oboe and Clarinet/piano, they usually work with the Halle Orchestra, Royal Ballet Sinfonia and Manchester Camerata! We were all blown away by their beautiful performance and can’t wait to welcome them back!
Spring planting!
Today at Prestbury Beaumont; we have had a lovely time with our fortnightly Gardening Group, planting bulbs in preparation for Spring!
We have planted a mixture of Tulips & Daffodils to brighten up our home. We learnt about why we use sustainable compost; not containing Peat and the best conditions for optimum growing!
A day in the life at Prestbury!
Did you know that our social calendar often includes wine tasting, reminiscence activities, book clubs, card clubs, bridge clubs and chess – the choice is based on the interests of our residents.
Back by popular demand, this week our residents have been busy reminiscing, doing jigsaws, crosswords and playing Scrabble!
Valentine's Day
Today at Prestbury Beaumont, we have celebrated Valentines Day together! In the morning, all our residents received a room visit with a rose or heart.
We then used the roses in our flower arranging this afternoon! We have had a good chat about favourite love songs with some homemade biscuits and sweets!
An afternoon film
We have had another busy week here at Prestbury Beaumont! We had our residents meeting, celebrated Women In Science and to finish the week - a movie matinee of Mrs Harris goes to Paris with Prosecco and popcorn!
