Activities at Prestbury Beaumont Care Community
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Life at Prestbury Beaumont Care Community
Father's Day
This year for Father’s Day, we had some lovely sessions with our residents reminiscing about the special men they had & have in their lives.
We had a special themed quiz and many conversations over cups of tea and cake.
All our male residents were treated to cards and chocolates to celebrate this special day!
Historic Hendon
Across our services we had a lovely time joining Rhiannon Watkinson from the RAF Museum London for an interactive talk exploring the exciting and innovative aviation history of Hendon.
Our residents were able to learn about the first flights from the fields at Hendon, the creation of the London Aerodrome and Battle of Britain pilots who flew from RAF Hendon.
The talk also included photographic and film material from the Museum’s archive. Residents across our homes had a fantastic time and we truly enjoyed the virtual experience.
Chippy teas all round!
Staff and residents at Barchester’s Prestbury Beaumont Care Community in Prestbury, Macclesfield had a fantastic time celebrating National Fish & Chip Day on Fryday 2nd June, surely one of the best days of the year!
Residents went on an outing to their local chippy ‘Georges’ at Thornton Square, in Macclesfield with their Head Chef Nicky! We then had a slap up fish & chip supper with all our residents and staff! Later on they enjoyed a quiz where they were tested on fun fish & chip facts.
Home embraces flower power
Residents at Prestbury Beaumont in Macclesfield celebrated Chelsea Flower Show which took place from 22 to 27 May 2023 - as well as watching the show on TV, they also held their own session for the green-fingered.
Created and run by the Royal Horticultural Society, Chelsea Flower Show is the world’s greatest flower show with stunning garden designs and gorgeous floral designs. Residents were delighted to see the show return this year
Story telling with Jon Sleigh
Residents across our services had a delightful time during a special virtual sensory storytelling event, led by Art Historian Jon Sleigh from the Historic Royal Palaces.
Jon took us on a journey to discover some of the more unusual and unexpected inhabitants of the palaces and the Tower of London, sharing fascinating stories about the pets at the palaces.
Whilst enjoying the virtual experience, our residents were treated to hot beverages, delicious biscuits, berries and cakes. It was a truly lovely time for all.
