Activities at Raleigh Manor Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.
Frankie Sidwick
Frankie has been in care since 2011. Her career began in a nursing home, then she moved to young adults with learning difficulties, and finally went on to a home that specialised in mental health. Frankie now brings this wealth of knowledge into her activities role here at Raleigh Manor.

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Book Club At Large
We have a very enthusiastic Book Club at Raleigh Manor and it was time to get out to one of their favourite places again.... Winstones in Sidmouth. They were in their element and come home with some new treasures!

Catching the Winter Sunshine
When a perfect winter day presents itself, we like to wrap up and get down to the seaside. Catching some winter sunshine and the fresh sea air is an opportunity not to be missed!
Our location, just 1.5 miles to the beautiful Exmouth seafront is a wonderful resource we make the most of throughout the year.
Christmas Day Celebrations
Another wonderful Christmas Day enjoyed by our residents and family members. One of our favourite days of the year full of joy, companionship and fantastic food. We had close to a full house this year with many joining us for respite specifically for Christmas. A shame we have to wait another 11 months for the next one!
School Choir Celebrate Lights On
Every Christmas, local school, Brixington Primary Academy come and celebrate our Lights On event to kick off the festive season. A wonderful tradition that brings us all a lot of joy.
They sing a range of traditional and modern carols followed by the much anticipated countdown to lights on. Long may this tradition continue.
