Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Ritson Lodge Care Home
Jubilee Celebrations
We enjoyed a whole range of different activities during the Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend including a Royal Afternoon Tea Party, Jubilee-inspired games, watching the parade in our new cinema and supporting the local community events.
Ritson Lodge was pleased to support the Hopton Village Community Jubilee Event by providing free Cream Teas for anyone who wanted them.
The weather was not on our side but that didn't stop Manager Siobhan and her Activities Team from ensuring the residents of Hopton were able to enjoy their delicious scones!
At Ritson we are very proud members of the Hopton community and we are always looking for ways to support community events and campaigns and to get our residents involved in the village.
Jubilee Preparations
We have been getting ready for our Jubilee celebrations by decorating the home, planning the events and baking some delicious Jubilee-inspired treats.
We have a lot planned for the big Bank Holiday weekend and we can't wait to get started.
Grand Opening
We had a fantastic time yesterday evening showing off our amazing home with the grand opening of our new cinema and new pub - The Ritz Inn!
It was a full house, the sun was shining, the home looked amazing and everyone was impressed with the hard work that our brilliant Head of Maintenance Paul Harte has done to create such a wonderful environment for our residents and staff.
The new pub is already in high demand for residents wanting to watching sporting events, enjoy a quiet pint and catch up with family over a glass of wine.
The new cinema is being used to showcase new films, music concerts and virtual tours.

Pets As Therapy
The beautiful Prince is back to bring smiles and joy to residents at Ritson Lodge.
We love when Prince and his owner Angela visit, and Prince is always pleased to see us too! Animal therapy is one of the cornerstones of our life enrichment programme.
Jubilee Inspired Art Work
The Platinum Jubilee is on it's way and our residents have using their artistic skills to create Jubilee inspired decorations for our home.
Don't forget that Ritson Lodge will be hosting a stall at Hopton's Platinum Jubilee Event on the 4th June at the Recreation Ground - we hope to see you there!
Inter-generational Chats, Games And Fun
Today some wonderful students from Cliff Park Ormiston Academy came to visit, chat, play games and get to know our residents.
The visits were hugely enjoyed by the residents and we hope to have the students back again soon. Hopefully this is the start of an interest in a career in care for some of the students!
