Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Ritson Lodge Care Home
International Women's Day
We celebrated International Women's Day with a gallery comprising some of the most influential women in history, ranging from Beatrix Potter to Emily Pankhurst. Residents enjoyed reading a bit about the history of these wonderful women of history.
The Magic Table
Residents have been enjoying our new Magic Table 360. We have been so excited and made full use of the sensory benefits it provides. Residents can play piano, clear leaves, play snakes and ladders, go for 'walks' in the forest and paint pictures.
Book Worms
Residents at Ritson Lodge would like to thank Joanne Davis from Hopton community, who kindly Donated 150 books for them to enjoy while in lockdown. We plan to create a mini library and reading book club.
Vaccination Day
Friday 22nd was Vaccination Day at Ritson Lodge for all our residents and number of staff. Residents were so proud and relieved.
Positive Vibes
Now more than ever it’s important to focus on the positive, so we made a bored full of pictures, quotes and thank you notes that simply make you smile.
Birthday Celebrations
We were delighted to help Dorothy celebrate her 100th birthday, with her telegram from the queen family messages from New Zealand, enough flowers to open a shop, the chocolatiest cakes ever made by our Head Chef, Andy. A wonderful afternoon was had by all. Happy birthday to a wonderful lady from us at Ritson Lodge.
