Activities at Ritson Lodge Care Home
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Life at Ritson Lodge Care Home
Knit & Natter
We have been making baby hats in our Knit & Natter session; we are waiting until we have 100 so that we can take them to the baby ward at our local hospital. But, for now, we are slowly learning how to do new things like head bands and bows to wear in our hair. If we make plenty of them we will sell them to our crafts fair at Christmas.
Friday Fish & Chips
We drove to Southwold for our Friday fish and chips. It was a very busy day on the sea front; there were lots of families and children that came to speak to us. We even had a dog wanting to share our food.
Some residents thought it was too busy to go for a walk, so we opened all the doors and enjoyed the sun. We had summer music playing in the background and lots of people walking around came to join in as well.
Animal Family
Animal Family was here again with new animals! Residents and loved ones seemed to really enjoy meeting these amazing creatures. Katie, who brings in the animals, takes the time with every person to ensure they get to learn about them all.
Games & Songs
Residents really enjoyed playing games at our games club. We even started singing whilst we were waiting for some of them to be set up. Bring on the Ritson Lodge Choir!
For the Love of Music
We had a singalong on our Memory Lane community, which went down a treat! Everyone joined in, including family members and friends. In the break time, we enjoyed some mocktails and cakes, and then went back to singing and dancing with our musical instruments.
Mocktail Madness
Residents and loved ones got to enjoy an afternoon of indulging in fruity mocktails, along with ice cream and sweet treats on the side. Everyone found the fancy straws very funny and even wanted to keep them for the next drinks.
