Activities at Seaview House Care Home
Our Activities Coordinators are constantly striving to mentally and physically stimulate those we support by organising group and individual activities for anyone and everyone to participate in. There are exercise classes and a walking group, regular outings in the minibus to nearby places of interest including local concerts, as well as weekly visits from a PAT dog, and regular visits from musicians and entertainers, as well as church services which are held twice a month. We also host a weekly social event in which we encourage residents from the whole home to socialise together.
Activities are one of the most important aspects of a care home, so it is essential that our team are dedicated to ensuring that residents are entertained, and that life at Seaview is fun and active.

They attended the decorated float procession, children’s fancy dress parade, Elise Lyall Coffee afternoon and the Senior Treat in the assembly rooms where there was so much entertainment put on and teas and then they were so delighted meeting old friends.
Family Day
Families were all invited in for a cuppa with their family and what a lovely time was had by all! Some having four generations at one table and the smile on every ones faces says it all.
Residents had a ball!
Four footie fans & ex - players were so delighted with a trip to watch local football club Wick Academy play Keith FC AND WIN 1-0!! Residents enjoyed free hospitality, tickets, scarves & mugs! Everyone was so delighted and looked forward to the next home game.
Top 20 Care Home 2022 Award!
We are happy to announce that we have won a carehome.co.uk award and have been prized for one of the Top 20 Care Homes in our region for 2022. The awards highlight the most recommended care homes in each region of the UK and the recognition is based on published reviews from residents and their families and friends, as of February 2022.
Music through the ages
Our homes had a brilliant time with curator Sarah Deters as she took us on a virtual ‘Music Through the Ages’ tour of St Cecilia’s Hall: Concert Room and Music Museum.
Our residents were thrilled to discover weird and wonderful musical instruments, hear their unusual sounds, and find out how instruments have changed over the last 500 years.
The virtual live event explored the world-renown collection of musical instruments on display at St Cecilia’s Hall, Scotland’s oldest concert hall.
Opera performance
Our homes had a fabulous time with the talented soprano Astrid Joos from Street Theatre. Astrid spoke about a selection of famous operas and our residents were treated to performances of wonderful arias from operas well-known to all, such as ‘Giuditta’, ‘Don Giovanni’ and ‘Le Nozze di Figaro’.
It was a lovely experience, truly enjoyed by all.
