Activities at Southgate Beaumont Care Community
Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.
Zoe Grindley
Hello My name is Zoe, I have been in the life enrichment team at Southgate Beaumont since December 2021.
I am originally from Liverpool and moved to London in 1997 after being accepted at Mountview Theatre school. After graduating I worked as an actress and accomplished voiceover artist for many years. I also have a vast amount customer service experience, working in many West End Theatres, as Cabin crew for Virgin Atlantic and at Claridges hotel in Mayfair.
Zoe has a passion for making strong connections with people and creating lasting memorable experiences.
My role here at Southgate Beaumont is to ensure our residents lives are packed full of enriching and interesting activity. We provide a wide range of both home led and community led activity for all residents as well as personalised and individual hobby and interest focused events. Our programme ranges from cocktail making, to art history talks, exercise sessions as well as fine dining dinner parties catered for by our chefs
I have made lots of lovely new friends at Southgate Beaumont care home and look forward to making many more.

Life at Southgate Beaumont Care Community
St George's Day
We had a St. George's Day celebration with a lot of food and drinks to help us to see the dragons, but they didn’t arrive.
Volunteer Recognition Day
Thank you to all volunteers for the time you have donated to us. Your work is very much appreciated by all at Southgate Beaumont.
Mother's Day
We celebrated Mother's Day with classical music performed by London Single Reeds Orchestra, including some of our favourite pieces, such as 'Soldier, Soldier', 'Carnival of the Animals' and 'Putting on the Ritz'.
A very big thanks to all the musicians who came and performed on the day.
School Volunteers
We had a lovely time with our school volunteers. On Monday we have Bethany, Alicia and Vilisha, Tuesday we have Amaani, Wednesday we have Ruby, who brought her lovely drawings to show them to us; Saturday we have Harry and, on Sunday, Eddie helps out with activities.
Contact the Elderly
We hosted a Contact the Elderly tea party on a Sunday afternoon. It went very well and was enjoyed by all. We thanked the chef on duty for the delicious and well-presented food: sausage rolls, sandwiches, cakes, mulled wine and tea.
Nutrition & Hydration Week
Here at Southgate Beaumont, we celebrated Nutrition & Hydration week. We had 'Mini Muffin Monday', 'Tasty Tuesday' with canapés, 'Friendship Wednesday' with cream teas, 'Fruity Thursday' and 'Fish & Chips Friday' - and we all enjoyed the delicious food!
