Activities at St Thomas Care Home
Our activities coordinator is dedicated to organising meaningful activities on an individual and group basis to fulfill the daily needs of our residents, as we understand how important mental and physical stimulation is for their wellbeing. Our activities are available to everyone who wants to take part and there is something different going on everyday. We often go out on day trips including visiting shopping centres, garden centres, evening meals at the local pubs, visits to local schools and also coffee mornings with other care homes. We have a wide range of entertainers that visit us at our home including musical therapists, Millers Ark Farm, pantomimes as well as our local salvation army and lots more. We encourage families to join us on trips out and also in home activities such as baking, arts and crafts, dancing and singing, we believe this is a great way for our residents to live an active and fun life here with us at St Thomas.

Life at St Thomas Care Home
Balloon Bash Rally
Resident, Jobbo, enjoyed playing a balloon bash rally between him and one of our kind volunteers – he was very competitive!
Afternoon Tipple
Resident, Alfie, can be seen here enjoying an afternoon tipple.
Gardening Club
Gardening Club is always better when the sun is shining. Together, we painted our pot and planted our beautiful lilac flowers.
Milestones Museum
Our minibus trip to the Milestones Museum was enjoyed by residents.
They enjoyed watching the short movie clip of factory workers, as well as looking at all the old steam trains and buying sweets from the old sweet shop.
Playing Darts
Maintenance Assistant, Marius, enjoyed a game of darts with resident, Charlie. Both had lots of fun!
The Gardener's Life
Our Gardeners here at St Thomas not only make our garden look lovely, but they also take the time to engage with residents. Eli and Charlie worked extremely hard and enjoyed a much-needed tea break together afterwards.
We at St Thomas would like to say a huge thank you to Soans gardening company and a special thank you to Eli.
