I trained as a general nurse at University College Hospital. Then spent over 25 years in the pharmaceutical industry, working in the field of Parkinson’s and pain management specialisms of treatment. Later in my career I have managed 4 nursing homes that’s where I found my true passion for caring for others. I immediately fell in love with the work and have not looked back since. I have tremendous amounts of commitment and dedication which I will show in my new home, and I am looking forward to working in Sycamore Grove ensuring that I make a difference for people who live and work here.
Myself and the amazing team will continue to deliver outstanding care to all our residents, their families and friends. I always strive to make a difference in people’s lives and find it rewarding when I help somebody to live their life to the fullest. For me, this is what working in care has always been about, and I know that I can continue delivering this mission with the support of my wonderful colleagues at Sycamore Grove.

Due to my passion for care, I will use my skills, knowledge and experience and I will manage and lead my team in delivering outstanding care to our residents.
Daily I take home with me all the smiles, the hugs, the touches of the hands, the happiness in their eyes, the genuine joy of residents and knowledge I did everything I could to make their lives better. It is the greatest reward.
I do practice an Open door policy for our residents, relatives and staff as they are at the heart of what I do.

Lynette Allen
I first worked in the care sector in 2016. I have since gained a wealth of experience in dedicated dementia and residential activities, where I was an Activities Coordinator.
The largest and best part of my role was to ensure my residents were engaged in meaningful activities on a daily basis. I do this by taking into account their life history, their interests, likes and dislikes in order to promote their wellbeing currently and for the future. Liaising with family, friends and members of the community is also part of my role and it offers continuity to the lives of our residents. I love giving people a purpose and enabling our residents to do as much as possible of the things they love to do.
I cannot wait to welcome our residents into their wonderful new home and help to bring smiles, joy and laughter to each day.
Dirk Ehrlicher
My career in hospitality and catering started in 1990. I’ve trained in Jülich, Germany and have started my career In Zurich and worked in many 4* and 5* Hotels in my career including Claridge’s (London), Hotel Alpina (Klosters, Switzerland) to name a few, I then went on to work as a head chef in Switzerland. I am now very settled and happy in the UK, spending the last 12 years working for the 5* Landmark hotel in Marylebone, fulfilling many roles starting at Sous Chef and working my way up to an Executive Sous chef role.
I started working as a chef in the care sector in 2023. I chose to join Barchester as their standards and expectations are so high. I believe a good chef is an artist and should be able to create delicious menus from the local, seasonal produce on offer.
We have a strong passionate team here at Sycamore Grove and we are looking forward to welcoming our residents to their new home.
