Care and facilities at Wheatlands Care Home
Moving home can be difficult for families and loved ones. At Wheatlands we appreciate how challenging this can be for all concerned. Our home is located in the heart of Much Wenlock, Shropshire. Wheatlands in its semi-rural location, gets the best of both worlds; plenty of local amenities yet within easy reach of Shrewsbury, Telford and the beautiful Wenlock Hills.
The home is set in beautifully landscaped gardens to the front and an open aspect to the rear where residents and visitors can enjoy the views of the surrounding countryside. Accessible gardens have a variety of outdoor seating where residents and visitors can relax.
Wheatlands is a mix of purpose built care home and 1920's grandeur buildings. Opened in 1995, Wheatlands was once a Barnardo's boys' home.
We provide expert residential care and support for the elderly frail and those living with dementia, who require assistance and support to meet their needs. We also offer respite breaks and have four bungalows for those who wish to live independently but with the assurance of on-site facilities available.
The home benefits from mostly single rooms and some shared rooms, most of which have en-suite facilities; spacious lounges, conservatories and a well appointed dining room and quiet areas for rest and relaxation. We also have our very own vintage café where residents and visitors are able to relax with friends - or make new ones whilst enjoying a cup of tea or coffee and home-made cakes.
Enquirers can call for more information on the types of care we offer and we are always happy to help. We have a team of staff who can offer guidance and answer any questions that you may have about our home and the facilities we offer. If you are unsure of anything or need any assistance or advice, please do not hesitate to get in touch. We are here to help you make the right choice.
