Activities at Wheatlands Care Home
Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Wheatlands Care Home
Elf Day
Residents and staff enjoyed dressing up for Elf Day and raising awareness for people affected by dementia.
Santa's Grotto
We held a virtual Santa's Grotto this year for our local schools.
Thanksgiving Games
Residents enjoyed pinning the feather on the turkey for Thanksgiving. We sat and discussed what we were thankful for and created a beautiful display to celebrate,
Remembrance Day
Residents and the activities team created the most amazing display for Remembrance Sunday on the 8th November. The poppies were hand made from tissue paper and felt.
Diwali Celebrations
Residents enjoyed creating a display board to celebrate Diwali on the 14th November. Everyone had lots of fun!
Garden Fun
Residents made the most of the weather in our beautiful sensory garden.
