Activities at White Lodge Care Home
Our Activities Coordinators here at White Lodge enjoy the fulfillment of helping residents feel important and a part of something. Meaningful moments are created through laughter and comfort. A varied activities programme is offered for the betterment of residents' bodies and minds, including music for health, 'Oomph' sessions and chair Zumba, in addition to coffee and cake groups that all inevitably lead to giggles and old fashioned singalongs. Also, we organise parties, trips out, walks in the country, bus outings and wonderful entertainers to visit our home. A sneaky tipple is always welcomed with cheese and crackers and, at the end of the day, it is important to go home knowing our activities have made a difference.

Life at White Lodge Care Home
Macmillan Coffee Morning
Pardeep, our Head Chef, won the 'guess the height of the cake' competition and very kindly donated his winnings to Cancer Research.
Dragon Boat Race
White Lodge had the pleasure of visiting the Swindon Hindi temple for the Coatwater Dragonboat Race. Our marketing tent received a lot of interest with free goodie bags on offer.
Summer Fête
The sun really did shine on our Summer Fête; we had lots of entertainment and Swindon Wheelers & Morris Vintage Cars all contributed towards a great afternoon. Thank you all who came.
Darts Tournament
Our darts tournament helped promote the importance of competitive fun & giggles with friends (with a little cheating.) This event supported 'Dementia Awareness Week' and kept many residents laughing & moving.
60th Wedding Anniversary
Celebrations started with 'A' handcrafting a beautiful card for his wife, followed by a romantic 3-course meal with wine in our vintage room. The afternoon saw us enjoying more wine, sing alongs & eating a lovely cake decorated by out Head Chef.
World Chocolate Day
Residents were only too happy to sample a large variety of chocolates for World Chocolate Day, taste testing favourite brands & new flavours and all washed down with a hot cup of tea & plenty of company.
