Activities at Arbour Court Care Home

Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising a variety of activities and events for all residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus, visits from entertainers and musicians and small group and individual activities in quiet yet stimulating environments. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as possible, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect resident individual interests as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join with activities and events as often as they can.

Life at Arbour Court Care Home

Sunshine and garden time

We have been embracing the sunshine here at Arbour Court whilst celebrating National fish and chip day with a tasty serving of fish and chips prepared by the homes hospitality team and finishing with refreshing ice-cream.  We even managed to get outdoors and enjoy the weather and do a spot of gardening and watering the plants.

Virtual tour of Safari Park

Here at Arbour Court were pleased to be able to dive into the wild safari life of Knowsley Safari and to enjoy an amazing live stream tour of the park’s grounds.

Our residents were smiling and laughing as they got up close and personal with some of the safari’s most popular animals, including giraffes and meerkats and much more!

We had a wonderful time learning more about the animals and enjoying some live feeding demonstrations.

Colourful florals

Staff and residents at Arbour Court were treated to an interactive virtual floristry masterclass courtesy of Master Florist, Michal Kowalski, from Blooming Haus.

International Jazz Day

We had singing and dancing here to celebrate the history of jazz. Everyone got involved and played away on the inflatable instruments.

St George's Day

We celebrated St George’s Day here with arts and crafts and a day in the garden with light refreshments and snacks and a variety of fun and music.

We had games, bubbles and even did some gardening; not only did we have great day, it gave our residents time to reminisce.

Residents enjoy trip to Buxton

Staff and residents at Arbour Court care home in Stockport were celebrating being able to go on short excursions again as lockdown restrictions ease across the country.  Residents are now able to go on a short trip to outdoor spaces without having to isolate on their return.

Residents from Arbour Court enjoyed a long-awaited trip to Buxton where they were able to enjoy the lovely views.

Kelly Tatton, General Manager at Arbour Court commented: “It is absolutely wonderful to be able to take our residents out for trips again.  We have all been waiting for this day and we are so thankful it is finally here.  Our residents have enjoyed all sorts of different entertainment during lockdown but nothing beats some fresh air and a change of scenery to blow away the cobwebs.”
