Meet the Ashchurch View Care Home Team

Hello, I'm Becky and the Deputy Manager here at Ashchurch View Care Home.

Being appointed as Deputy Manager has been the highlight of my career so far and I'm really enjoying working in the private care sector.  

Prior to me joining Barchester, I worked for the NHS, but have always been drawn back into care of the elderly.

As a Deputy Manager it is important to be diligent, organised and with a keen eye for detail but be caring and demonstrate the compassion which is imperative to this role.  I'm very hard working, have good interpersonal skills and I'm fully committed to the home and providing best in class care.

I'm proud to be working with such a fantastic team who make a difference each an every day to the residents lives.  I love to see our residents enjoying the activities we put on in the home and it has become my favourite part of my working day. .

I relish supporting the Ashchurch View care team and I'm excited about our care journey where we are pushing to go from 'Good to Outstanding’.

I’m passionate about working with the elderly and I’m focused on providing the best possible care for all our residents.

I enjoy working with such a supportive team here at Ashchurch View and particularly love getting to know our residents, listening to their life stories and creating relationships with their family and friends.

Hello, my name is Dilip and I'm a Registered Nurse and Community Manager here at Ashchurch View Care Home.

I can usually be found on our York nursing wing, where my aim is to provide a warm and caring environment for all of our residents ensuring they have the highest quality nursing care during their stay and time with us.

No request is too big or difficult and if I can do anything to make any of our residents happy, I shall endeavour to do so.

I am passionate about working with our residents to ensure the best quality of life and care at all times.  Ensuring all of our residents are happy and content is everything to me and I love to see them flourish when engaging in our activities that we run daily.  I feel it is important for our residents, their families and friends to create positive lasting memories and I enjoy being part of that process.

Hello, my name is Anila and I am part of the nursing team here at Ashchurch View.

I'm fortunate to live in Tewkesbury which I love, with my husband and young son, who keeps me busy when I'm home.  I'm very much into arts and crafts and love being able to get involved with our residents and their activities, when I can.

Caring for the elderly is such a privilege and I believe wholeheartedly that respect, dignity, and compassion are vital elements for our job.  I enjoy every aspect of my role here at Ashchurch and get a huge amount of joy and satisfaction from nursing our residents.

Hello, my name is John and I'm delighted to be Head Chef here at Ashchurch View.

Life before food was all about horses where I lived and breathed everything to do with the racing world.  This came to an abrupt end when my horse and the upcoming jump had a 'disagreement'.

Post my accident I decided to study food and have been fortunate to take my skills to locations all around the world adding vibrance and flavour to my knowledge pot.

I joined the Barchester team in 2017 and really enjoy working within the elderly care sector as it's not just about tasty food but also about nutrition and planning a balanced diet for our residents.

It is great getting to know the residents individually and it's a pleasure to work for them as I get to try out new recipes and of course, old favourites.  Diet is so important and I thrive at producing nutritious, seasonal, fresh and delicious recipes for our residents and believe this translates into the food I and the kitchen team, serve.

Hello, my name is Pat and I'm Head of Housekeeping here at Ashchurch View.

I am responsible for cleaning, housekeeping and the all important infection control as well as managing the other members of the Housekeeping Team.

I love chatting to our residents as I work around the home and do my utmost to ensure they are happy, ensuring all cleaning and laundry services are kept to the high standard we work to at Ashchurch View.

Hello, I'm CiCi and I'm a Carer here at Ashchurch View.

I live in Cheltenham and I'm lucky to have 3 beautiful daughters.  I recently married too and enjoy cooking, baking and sewing, in fact, I will give almost anything a go.

I adore my job as a Carer for Barchester and particularly love trying to keep our residents active.  I'm always one to make people laugh as I believe laughter is good for the soul.
