Activities at Ashcombe House Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.
Michelle Martin
I’m a fun, loud and outgoing individual who loves organising fun activities for residents at Ashcombe House (and staff, if possible). I’m very creative and keep the residents very active, both mentally and physically In my spare time, I love doing a lot of fundraising, which usually ends up with me sliding in mud.

Open Day at Ashcombe
We had a lovely morning with music from George and Ginger, who managed to get the relatives joining in. We then had afternoon tea in the dining room with freshly made scones and cream. There was also a cake sale and a 'guess the number of sweets in the jar' competition.
A Royal Garden Party
To celebrate the Her Majesty's birthday, we had a garden party with residents and their families. It was a lot of fun and there was even a surprise visit from the Queen herself!
Celebrating the Queen's 90th Birthday at Ashcombe House
We had a lovely day here at Ashcombe celebrating the Queen's 90th birthday, which included live music in the morning, followed by a royal quiz and royal bingo. We then had afternoon tea with our families.
