From the moment my Dad joined Memory Lane in October 2022, I have visited several times a week.
I enjoy sitting in the lounge with him, and interacting with the other residents, and the wonderful staff. I find it so rewarding, sometimes he does not know me. Other days I see my old Dad still there.
I jumped at the chance to become a relatives ambassador at Austen House. I know the emotional journey we are all on, sometimes it can be draining, and upsetting. If I could be of any support to someone who might need a chat, or just a familiar friendly face, I would find it so rewarding.
