Activities at Badgeworth Court Care Home
Our Activities Coordinators provide a stimulating social programme to suit residents' individual tastes and desires, and offer group or one-to-one activities based on individual preferences. We are a dedicated team that always ensures residents have enough to do to keep them stimulated and entertained. There are regular trips out on the minibus to nearby places of interest, and exercise classes to suit people of all capabilities, in addition to much, much more.

Life at Badgeworth Court Care Home
Gloucester Cathedral Trip
Residents of Badgeworth Court visited Gloucester Cathedral for their Museum of the Moon event.
In the year that marks the 50th anniversary of the moon landing, residents wondered at Luke Jerram’s internally lit replica of the moon as it floats in the Nave and experienced the exquisite detail of the lunar surface and accompanying atmospheric soundscapes.
Mobile Library at Badgeworth
Mobile libraries bring all the benefits of a modern service to people who cannot access a larger library. Whether it's audio books, poetry or prose, there is a wide choice when the library visits Badgeworth Court. With many avid readers, the mobile library has between 1500-3000 books so there is always something for everyone to enjoy and room visits make this possible for all the residents.
Pet Therapy
Interacting with a friendly pet can help many physical and mental health issues. It can also release endorphins that produce a calming effect. Residents enjoyed a visit from Sadie and Chili on the 11th August. Chili visited many residents throughout the home and will be returning for more visits very soon.
Afternoon Musical entertainment
What a great afternoon with musical entertainment from Sharon a great time for a sing along!
Tea Dance
Dancing, smiling and a cup of tea are the ingredients for a delightful afternoon. The residents really enjoyed the tea dance today in the stunning Town Hall.
The Magic Table
We are delighted to announce that we have just had a Magic Table installed, which is an interactive light projector, designed to support residents living with dementia by keeping them engaged through specialised games.
The light projections respond to hand and arm movement, promoting movement, allowing residents to stay stimulated and, most of all, have fun!
You can read more about it on this page.
