Activities at Bamfield Lodge Care Home
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

10 year service award
We would like to say a huge thank you to Allison who is one of the care assistants here at Bamfield Lodge.
Allison has been awarded for her 10 year service and we can not thank her enough.
Bamfield lodge and Barchester healthcare take a great deal of pride in ensuring our team members are valued and able to work in a safe and secure environment with support to develop their careers.
Bamfield Lodge Manager Kelly said "Allison is an incredibly hard working team member who goes above and beyond to ensure our residents every need is catered for, we are extremely lucky to have Allison here at Bamfield Lodge. "
Thank you Allison for all your hard work and commitment to our residents.
Armchair Exercise
We have been visited by Alive Activities for some armchair exercise, a fantastic way for us to burn off the fish and chips we had on Friday, and a great workout prior to the Tipple Trolley coming round for our Friday night!
BBQ
On the 9th July we held a Meet the Manager event, where lots of local people came to meet Kelly Irwin, and see our beautiful home. As the weather was set to be so beautiful, in tandem we held a big BBQ for all relatives and residents, staff and children of the home, to bring together that sense of community spirit. We had Minicomms in to sing to us, and there was plenty of pimms and home cooking enjoyed. A really enjoyable day.
President of the Women’s Institute visited Bamfield
The President of the Whitchurch Women’s Institute Carole Lumbar visited Bamfield Lodge alongside our wonderful florist Don Gays of Hengrove; for an afternoon tea and some flower arranging. They kindly prepared a raffle with prizes for every person following this and it was a lovely afternoon, thoroughly enjoyed by the residents.
The Schools are back
The schools are back! Oasis New Oak Primary school visited Bamfield lodge and joined our residents in some reading, it was thoroughly enjoyed by all residents and the children, a great intergenerational opportunity.
A special visitor
There was lots going on at Bamfield Lodge over the Jubilee weekend, however arguably the most entertaining time was when The Queen (maintenance man Arran) joined residents for a photo opportunity, Residents enjoyed no end of activities including Garden parties with Pimms and Chocolate covered strawberries, singalongs and red white and blue everything.
