Activities at Beaufort Grange Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.
Lucy Lock
Hello, I am Lucy and I have worked at Beaufort Grange since 2015, starting as a care assistant I have progressed to senior care assistant and now into my role as an Activities Assistant. It's always a pleasure to keep the residents updated with community activities. What I enjoy about my job is making everyone laugh and keeping residents and staff entertained. You will often hear me singing as I walk down the corridor!

Life at Beaufort Grange Care Home
Chinese New Year
We celebrated the Year of the Tiger in style. Our residents got involved in a number of themed activities and made their very own lanterns in recognition of the Chinese New Year.
Happy New Year!
Happy New Year from all at Beaufort Grange! We had a wonderful time celebrating and bringing in the New Year in the home. We hope everyone has a wonderful 2022!
Christmas Day at Beaufort Grange
Our Head Chef, Stuart, dressed up as Santa, and Activities staff, Lynnett and Samara as Elves, as they brought some joy to residents by delivering gifts on Christmas Day. Residents loved the effort that our staff went to, to ensure they had a very special Christmas Day.
Christmas Jumper Day
On Friday 10th staff and residents put on their Christmas Jumpers to raise some money for Save The Children UK. There was lots of Christmas activities which everyone enjoyed. A resident, Mary, said that it definitely brought the festive spirit to Beaufort Grange.
Home theatre
Our Activities Coordinator Lynnett won 2nd place with this home theatre set up in a Barchester Healthcare competition. The residents had homemade popcorn and a selection of Christmas movies for which they had tickets.
Piano lessons
Barchester Healthcare likes to provide person-centered care, which staff at Beaufort Grange put into practice every day. Today a resident on our Memory Lane unit, Joyce played some well-known piano tunes, including Christmas songs. Residents and staff all sang and danced along. She even taught Marion a few notes.
