Activities at Beaufort Grange Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Lucy Lock

Activities Coordinator

Hello, I am Lucy and I have worked at Beaufort Grange since 2015, starting as a care assistant I have progressed to senior care assistant and now into my role as an Activities Assistant. It's always a pleasure to keep the residents updated with community activities. What I enjoy about my job is making everyone laugh and keeping residents and staff entertained. You will often hear me singing as I walk down the corridor!

Life at Beaufort Grange Care Home

Dan the Barber

This month, Dan- who is our activity assistant - did a brilliant job as a hairdresser and as a barber. Our residents looked very great after their haircuts and they all loved his work! Well done Dan!

Entertainers are Back!

We were pleased to welcome Cate for an online Zoom concert. She covered some songs from the '50s, '60s and '70s and all our residents enjoyed it. Some even sang, which was really nice to listen to.

Our Piano Star

J. has been playing the piano her whole life and remembers some lovely tunes. She is also a great singer! She can be a bit shy at first but she always ends up playing for other residents.

International Nurses' Day

We celebrated Nurses’ Day with a lot of various and fun activities for our nurses and our residents. Everyone had a lovely time; some residents read a thank you note and we even had a residents’ family thanking our nurses for their hard work via Zoom.

Well done to Nita, who was nominated best nurse of the year!

Singalong Musicals

We gathered our lovely residents from the Memory Lane unit for a unique sing along afternoon with classic musicals films, such as Singing in the Rain, Oklahoma, Wizard of Oz and of course The Sound of Music! You would be amazed to see how much they remembered the lyrics perfectly.

Easter Decoration

Residents helped us to decorate the home for Easter, which was very enjoyable for them. We had little chicks, lambs and rabbits on all tables in all lounges amongst other very cute decorations. Nobody could resist!
