Activities at Bedewell Grange Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.
Donna Brooks
My Name is Donna. I am the activities co-ordinator at Bedewell Grange.
I joined Bedewell Grange in April 2022 and I bring lots of new exciting ideas to the role, having worked in the health and social care sector for the last 15 years. I am passionate about my role within the home and aim to bring a smile to all our residents faces through different types of activities.
I'm bright and bubbly, so aim to share this each day at work. I have experience in supporting our residents who are more able as well as doing sensory Namaste sessions with our residents who are less able.
As I get to know the residents likes and dislikes, if you would like to come and chat with me about your family member please pop in and see me.

Life at Bedewell Grange Care Home
Elf Day Celebrations
Staff at Bedewell got all dressed up for Elf Day to help raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society. On the day, residents and their families also enjoyed a Christmas lunch prepared by our in house hospitality team.
Visit from the Inspirational Choir
The Inspirational Choir recently stopped in to perform for our residents, and all enjoyed our freshly baked mince pies paired with teas and coffees
Remembrance Street Party
We hosted a lovely Remembrance Day tribute to all the people who last their lives during the First and Second World Wars.
Picking up the Pieces
Jigsaws seem to get everyone having a go; Bex and Kayleigh were determined to help the residents finish this one. The look of concentration is priceless!
Bonfire Night
We had a great turn out for our fireworks display. Everyone enjoyed singing and dancing the night away with entertainment from the incredible Bernie McDonald. Afterwards, everyone tucked into hotdogs and hot chocolate.
Braving the Shave
Well done to our fantastic Chef, Sarah, who 'braved the shave' in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support and raised over £1,000 for this great charity. Thank you to all who sponsored her and to all our lovely staff and residents who turned out to watch.
