Activities at Bedewell Grange Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.
Donna Brooks
My Name is Donna. I am the activities co-ordinator at Bedewell Grange.
I joined Bedewell Grange in April 2022 and I bring lots of new exciting ideas to the role, having worked in the health and social care sector for the last 15 years. I am passionate about my role within the home and aim to bring a smile to all our residents faces through different types of activities.
I'm bright and bubbly, so aim to share this each day at work. I have experience in supporting our residents who are more able as well as doing sensory Namaste sessions with our residents who are less able.
As I get to know the residents likes and dislikes, if you would like to come and chat with me about your family member please pop in and see me.

Life at Bedewell Grange Care Home
The Domino Effect
These ladies had a great afternoon playing dominoes together.
Helping Hebburn
Here at Bedewell Grange, we had a collection for our local charity, Hebburn Helps, a food bank that assists families in south Tyneside on low income. Angie (left) from Hebburn Helps came to collect our donations, and we want to say a big thank you to all the staff, residents and families who donated.
Garden Display: Part III
Our ceramic tiles for the garden are coming along great; and to think, it all started with a piece of paper and our residents' imagination. As you can see from the photo, we are now at the stage of mounting the tiles, ready to go on the wall. We can't wait for the big reveal!
Afternoon Tea
Barrett Homes are building a beautiful new housing complex in Hebburn, and they came along with a lovely little afternoon tea for us here at Bedewell Grange as a thank you for welcoming them into our community.
Crossword Club
Residents have been having plenty of giggles during our Crossword Club.
Puppy Therapy
Residents enjoyed playing pass the balloon with Poppy the dog. What a star she is! She even knows how to pass the balloon back to us.
