Activities at Bryn Ivor Lodge Care Home
Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.
Anna Przybylska
Hello, my name is Anna and I am the Lead Activities Co-ordinator in Bryn Ivor Lodge.
I have a degree In Tourism & Hotel Management, with specialisation in Organising Events & Activities’. I have also finished several courses and training to be able to deliver excellent activities that would work best in care settings.
I have begun my career as Activities Co-ordinator over 15 years ago and gained really good experience working in various care settings.
I am very compassionate about my job and I take great pleasure in helping others and seeing people happy. My main priority is to provide activities tailored to the needs of our Residents. I always make sure all our Residents feel included and interested in the activities our home provides. Nothing is too much trouble for me and I hope our Residents and their family and friends will spend many memorable moments enjoying the activities and events we provide.

Morning Exercise Class at Bryn Ivor Lodge
Some of the residents enjoy a gentle workout in Tredegar Lounge.
This is a great way to help improve coordination and muscle strength whilst being seated. Of course, it is also a great way to get everyone together for some well-earned refreshments.
Grand Prize Raffle Draw
The grand prize raffle draw took place at 4.00pm in the bistro to round off the week of fund raising for Barchester’s Charitable Foundation. Thank you to everyone who donated raffle prizes, including our kind neighbours at the Coach and Horses Pub, who donated a £25 voucher to residents' family members; and the local WI, who bought so many tickets; and Angie, our visiting hairdresser, who gave a free haircut to one of the residents.
Amazing Performance from Hugh and Sam!
Father and son double act, Hugh and Sam, wowed all the residents and staff at Bryn Ivor Lodge with their unique interpretations of songs, old and new! They gave a wonderful free performance - thank you!
Care Home Open Day
On Friday 17th June, we held our national Care Home Open Day; we had a varied activity programme throughout the day. We were also blessed with wonderful entertainment from Steve Berry and the choir from Newport U3A. They sang in our bistro to delight the residents. Thank you!
